Cami Thompson
The natural world has been my focus since 1968 when I realized that it is always changing, shifting and so therefore would be a constant source of inspiration to me. Movement, composition, depth and last but not least color make a painting come alive.
We grow dahlias in our garden and I wanted to portray these many petaled Dutch flowers with as much impact as they impart to the viewer in real life. The blossoms are huge and change as they mature on the plant over several days. Grouping them as I do, they resemble the views from our large solar windows looking out at the garden.
Hopefully my love for nature as well as art shines through. I feel these paintings come from the depths of my soul. Learn more about Cami at www.camithompsonartist.com
